"Putting together a group of trackers was my decision, as well as entering the forest. The burden that falls on me..."
Fellow villager,
By the beards of all my ancestors! I swear I almost can't believe this could happen. That fate would force our tribe to intrude on the realm of Radgost. But we have no other choice.
Yaroslaw, the boy
Ljubomila, the girl
"...to leave children there who did not go there on their free will, into that deep and shady place, and not do anything is something that not even a lowlife..., would do..."
The children need our help. No one would question that. Not even a lowlife who disowned his ancestors and cursed on the gods. Putting together a group of trackers was my decision. Whatever happens next, our tribe will remember it forever. I wonder: will our descendants think of us as fools or heroes?
No time to think about it now. There'll be plenty of time for thinking, in this life and in the next. Now is the time to act. Come, meet your companions. We must go.
Darena, herb healer
Nameless, warrior
Živa, priestess
Vitalij, huntsman
Ratibor, elder

"In little odd ways, even today we think, like ancient druids, herb healers, hunters and warriors..."
Fellow boardgamer,
When my son Dimitrije was born, I had a chance to hear some strange beliefs that, despite being from a bygone age, survived to this day.
For example, hanging out baby clothes to dry outside after dark was a no no.
As an engineer I wanted explanations. As a sleep-deprived dad, it was easier to shut up and do as told.
And so it was to my parents and their parents and so on, all the way back to the time when Forest of Radgost takes place.
Centuries of progress may have scrubbed away the strange and magical way the world appeared to our ancestors. But traces of it still linger on in our acts and thoughts. In little odd ways, even today we think like ancient druids, herb healers, hunters, and warriors.
When you play Forest of Radgost, you get to awaken the ancient man slumbering inside you. We developed 9 different characters. Each one has a backstory leading up to the game's events. And each member of the search party has a personal mission which you will discover only after playing the game several times.
Through these characters, we are able to explore a variety of customs, roles, and beliefs of old Slavic people.
It's still not too late to join the tribe.
Forest of Radgost began as a family project.
In the end, it took a whole tribe of board gamers, sculptors and painters, scholars and writers, and 3003 Kickstarter backers to shape the game.
And we are still growing -- you still have a chance to join our tribe.
